My Approach to Calculating Probabilities in Unregulated Online Craps

I find that Craps sits right at the intersection of roulette and dice games. Despite being a relatively old game, very few online casinos offer it to their players. One of my criteria for selecting an unregulated online Craps site is the odds.

I should note that not all possible outcomes in a dice game have the same probability. For example, the number 7 has a probability of occurrence of 0.17, while numbers 6 and 8 have a probability of 0.14; 0.11 for numbers 5 and 9; 0.08 for numbers 4 and 10; 0.05 for 3 and 11, and 0.03 for numbers 2 and 12. The first thing I do is familiarize myself with these different probabilities to refine my gameplay. It might also be beneficial for you to run a simulation with real dice.

What is Online Craps?

Generally, the game of Craps involves guessing the outcome of a simultaneous throw of two dice. Like most unlicensed online games, I start by choosing a specific type of bet. There are two sections: Pass Line and Don't Pass Bar, where I can place my bets.

I should note that unregulated online casinos offer several types of bets for this game, each with its own characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages.

I can win the Pass Line bet if I roll a 7 or 11, and lose if I roll a 2, 3, or 12. The Don't Pass Bar, on the other hand, involves betting against whoever throws the dice. In other words, I win if I roll a 2, 3, or 12, and lose if I roll a 7 or 11. For either of these types of bets, I establish a point as soon as a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 appears. The difference is that for the Pass Line, I must make the point again before a 7 or 11 appears. For the Don't Pass Bar, I win if I make a point before a 2, 3, or 12. Some games assume that rolling a 12 results in a no win, no loss tie.

There are also other types of bets, such as the Come and Don't Come Bar. I consider these after the two mentioned above and after I've already established a point. The conditions for winning the Come are identical to those for the Pass Line, and those for the Don't Come Bar are identical to those for the Don't Pass Line.

The bet par excellence in Craps is known as Odds Bets. The payout promised by this type of bet depends on the online casino. Generally, this bet allows me to win triple my initial bet. However, some online casinos outside Ireland offer the possibility of multiplying my initial bet by 10.
